Warhammer Fantasy 1E
Premise: When the player characters stop for the night at a riverside inn they find themselves caught up in a bizarre farce.
What do we get here?
This is a short adventure or diversion you can drop in over one night when players stop off for the night at a tavern. Over seven pages you get everything you need to weave together seven different plots that take place all on one night!
Usability/Formatting
Coming with a lot of moving parts this adventure is not for the faint of heart. Given it was written in 1987 the adventure is fairly well laid out. You get all the information in the order you need it and it comes with a decent map of the inn in question.
Where there could be some improvement is in breaking things up into bullet points, the full paragraph style is a little hard to pull information out from on the fly. Some bolding and colour coding would not go amiss either as there are a lot of different characters to keep track of. You will probably need to print this adventure out and go over with a highlighter to make things easier on yourself.
The detailed timeline break down is really helpful although I imagine once the players get involved things will go off the rails (as is intended!) so you will need to be able to adapt on the fly. Reading through the adventure a couple of times will be a real help before running this.
Portability
There is not a lot that really ties this to the Warhammer universe over any other setting, you should be able to plop this down in any setting fairly easily. It should also be fairly easy to switch this up to another game system as it is not really that heavy on the mechanics or combat.
Recommendation
There is a reason this adventure is a fan favourite for WFRP players, it does require work from the DM but there is a lot of fun in a very unique style. This is well worth dropping into any ongoing campaign to break things up or to run as a one shot.
You likely will have to put some work in getting all in the info in a manner you can grok.
Even if you do not run this adventure I think you should read it just to see what other sort of content you can throw at your players.
No link as I am not sure it is for sale in its original format anywhere but you can probably find it in one guise or another yourself.
